Congratulations on your new VPS order. This article will help you connect to your Windows VPS using different devices and operating systems.
1. Where to Find Your Login Credentials
Once your VPS is set up, you will receive a welcome email that contains:

IP Address or Hostname

Username (usually: Administrator)

Password
If you cannot find the email, please check your spam or junk folder.
Alternatively, you can also view it directly in your client portal:
Client Area > Email History
2. How to Connect from a Windows PC
Use the built-in Remote Desktop Connection tool:

Click on the Start menu and search for "Remote Desktop Connection"

Open the app

In the "Computer" field, enter your VPS IP address or Hostname (e.g. 123.45.67.89 or us-srv3.alovhost.com:5015)

Click "Connect"

Enter your Administrator username and password
You will then be connected to your VPS desktop.

Open the App Store

Search for "Windows App"

Install and open the app

Click the "+" button to add a new connection

Enter your IP address (or Hostname) and username

Save and double-click to connect

4. How to Connect from iPhone or iPad

Open the App Store

Search for "Windows App Mobile"

Install and open the app

Tap the "+" button to add a new desktop

Enter your VPS IP (or Hostname) and login credentials

Save and tap to connect
5. How to Connect from Android

Open Google Play Store
-
Search for "Microsoft Remote Desktop"

Install and open the app
-
Tap "+" and choose "Desktop"

Enter your IP, username, and password
-
Save and tap to connect
6. Using the Built-In Web VNC Access (Alternative Option)
If RDP does not work, you can use the built-in VNC viewer:

Login to your Alovhost client portal

Go to Services
-
Click on your VPS
-
Click the small monitor icon to open the VNC viewer

Wait a few seconds, then click "Launch VNC"
This allows you to access your VPS directly from the browser without using any external applications.
